Blast2GO is a tool for the functional annotation of (novel) sequences data and the analysis of functional annotation.

The annotation method has to be performed in two Steps, the BLAST of the set of query sequences and the annotation with Gene Ontology terms through the Blast2GO method. The generated annotations can be further analysed with several functional profiling tools based on GO data like FatiGO or FatiScan. Visualisation is possible within Babelomics through the graph visualisation tool "GOGraphViz".

Blast2GO is also available as a Java Desktop application and can be found under http://www.blast2go.org.
